(2) Applicants for Master programs should have a Bachelor Degree. The original copy of bachelor diploma would be required to show during registration.

(3) Applicants for Doctoral programs should have a Master Degree. The original copy of bachelor diploma would be required to show during registration.

(4) Appropriate academic background and language proficiency in Chinese or English

2. Check application requirements:

SJTU Graduate School has general requirements for master degree students and Ph.D. students, but usually SEIEE would have more specific application requirements

For example, SEIEE would require all the applicants to obtain supervisor's conditional acceptance letter before application.

Application success or failure depends heavily on the applicant’s expertise, eagerness to learn, and awareness of issues, as judged primarily by means of documentary and interviews.

3. Check programs:

Check what program you want to apply to inside SEIEE.

Usually master program would be 2.5 years, and Ph.D. programs would be 4 years. Each program would be composed of three requirements to graduate: courses, publication, and final thesis/dissertation. During the study time, all those programs students could NOT intern outside of campus according to current Chinese policy.

Belt and Road Satellite Navigation and Remote Sensing Program” is a special two year master program with its major in Electronic and Communication Engineering. This program is composed of three parts to graduate: courses, internship and final thesis.

4. Check courses in English:

In SEIEE, students could choose all the offered English courses in what courses you could take in SEIEE.

Before each semester, the course list and syllabus would be revealed on the SEIEE English website.

5. Check research laboratories:

In SEIEE, each department has dozens of institutions, laboratories, and teams. Please check the organization chart to find the right lab you would join.

6. Check supervisor:

Supervisor is COMPULSORY for admission in SEIEE.

Please check potential supervisor name list for suitable supervisor. Contact the potential supervisor to get SEIEE Conditional Acceptance Letter. which you need to submit during SJTU online application.

7. Check fees:

Please check general cost for applying, tuition, accommodation, and so on.

8. Check scholarships possibilities:

Students may seek scholarship possibilities from their own countries and home universities. Besides that, Chinese CSC, Shanghai government, and SJTU also prepare some scholarship possibilities.

9. Check contact

Find the RIGHT person to contact to if you have any problem

It would help to save time for both students and teachers.
