Approved by the National Energy Board, State Energy Smart Grid (Shanghai) R&D Center is the first nation-level smart grid research center. The center is equipped with such hardware modules as wind turbines, solar power, hybrid energy storage, micro networks, smart home, V2G, DC transmission, RTDS, Intelligent Substation and superconducting, in addition to a variety of computing software and high-end instruments and equipment for development.
Researches concentrate on smart grid pattern, standard system, intelligent transmission lines, intelligent power devices (smart components), large users and intelligent distribution system, large power grid security and stability and information security, superconductivity, energy storage and so on.
