Before you apply, you need to know that exchange admission procedures need decisions by both Shanghai Jiao Tong University International Student Development Center Mobility Office (SJTU-ISDCMO) and School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering (SEIEE). So although SEIEE have some autonomy, works closely with admission on technical, administrative and policy issues.
Understanding the role of the Graduate School and the role of SEIEE will help you successfully navigate graduate admissions at the SJTU. It will also help you know who to contact when you have questions.

Now that you know more about graduate admissions at the SJTU, here are tips for getting started:
1. First of all, exchange Programs only accept international students from partner universities and students should be nominated by the program coordinator of the home university. Please check with your home university to see if it has any student exchange program agreement with SJTU.
If yes, you may choose to attend all courses at SJTU except for restrictions stated in the agreement.You may also check SEIEE partnering universities list to see whether you are qualified. If your university is not in the list, please consult SEIEE Graduate Office for more information.
2. After check all the SEIEE Graduate courses in English if you come for courses, or check all the available advisors if you come for research, please also review all SJTU information in the official SJTU Exchange Students Website and two brochures:

3. Please find the exchange program coordinator in your home university, he/she is the one to initiate your application.
Ready to apply? Please ask the exchange program coordinator to nominate you to SJTU-ISDCMO or SEIEE. After normination, SJTU-ISDCMO would send out an application link so you can submit all the information online.

After you succefully submit online submission, please check your status change on the application website. After you get admited, SJTU-ISDCMO would coordinate to send you Admission Letter and JW202 as soon as possible.
